Sexual Immorality in the Church

Friends: Ongoing sexual immorality in the church historically encompass all religious denominations…

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” -Matthew 7:15

 

Currently the expected norm – various types of sexual abuse (all genders, ages…) are continually swept under the rug…

Praise The Almighty! Victims, once silenced – due to fear of being scourged by society – are coming out in droves and speaking their truths.

 

I believe said occurrences are due to His Intervention – who is actively working to EXPOSE Culprits and EMPOWERING Victims to speak up and seek human justice from those appointed to dispense of same… (Romans 13:1)

 

Yeshua (Jesus): “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised….” -Luke 4:18-19

 

Said sexual crimes, as they are exposed, RELUCTANTLY force many religious corporations to pass in-house regulations to deal with the matter…

However, as said regulations solely make provisions for continued in-house oversight and do not include involvement of local, state or federal authorities…

in my humble opinion, they are not worth the paper written on and are but a mockery on society.

 

Assurance of Divine Justice

The purpose of this post is to advise victims that Final Judgment is for God:

Romans 12:19 “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

 

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

Divine Judgment

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Additionally:

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

 

Authority to Judge within the Body

Certain, if not all, denominations/cults wrongly use Scripture such as 1 Timothy 5:19 to harbor perpetrators while denying justice to victims of sexual crimes… – as members of the Body are being instructed wrongly “Not to Judge“…

1 Corinthians 5:9-13

“I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

“Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.”
